Tauvers Gallery International is one of the leading Ukrainian modern art galleries. The gallery, known for its exhibitions and educational activities, occupies a lead place in the art-space of Ukraine and beyond its borders, marking the beginning of a history full of wonderful facts, events, meetings and exhibitions, and continues to attract attention all over the world.
Founded in 2009 as Pete-Art Gallery, it was renamed Tauvers Gallery International by its founders Zinaida and Peter Tauvers in 2015.
At present, the gallery features many talents of the 20th-21st centuries, among them – Ukrainian Diaspora artists David Burliuk, Abraham Mintchine, Vasyl Khmeluk, Vasyl Krychevsky; outstanding masters of the Soviet epoch Mykola Hlushchenko, Yevhen Volobuiev, Ihor Maliarenko. The contemporary art is represented in the gallery by paintings of Max Vityk, whose creation is marked with the «new expression», and pieces in the 3D technique by the renown English artist Catherine Tiley. Their professional approach to dealing with pieces of arts employing known artists, art critics, experts has found an echo in mass media, publications and catalogues of international art festivals. In particular, in 2011, the gallery took part in The Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, and in 2013, Pete-Art gallery was among the co-organizers of the project devoted to the life and work of Tonino Guerra, held in Kyiv (Ukraine). The vivid atmosphere of exhibitions and meet-the-artist events attracts new visitors from all over the world. The active stand of the gallery is seen not only in its dynamic exhibition activity – the gallery compiles and releases catalogues of artists and exhibitions. Over the years of its work, the gallery has arranged more than 150 exhibitions, released many artist and exhibition catalogues, took part in three international art festivals.
Apart from artistic exhibitions and projects, the gallery hosts lectures and concerts of music, as well as educational programs.
